Revomon Migrates NFTs to Immutable zkEVM for Enhanced Web3 Gaming Experience
Revomon, the popular monster taming Mobile and VR Metaverse, has recently completed the migration of its NFTs from the BNB Chain to Immutable zkEVM. This shift opens up new possibilities for a more accessible and seamless web3 gaming Experience with the impending launch of the Novus update.
What Revomon NFTs Have Been Migrated?
The following NFTs have been successfully migrated to the Immutable zkEVM ecosystem:
- Generation I monsters (Genesis Collection)
- Wearables/Cosmetics
- Booster Packs/Eggomon (sealed)
Holders of these assets should have received a 1:1 airdrop on the same wallet address along with some $IMX tokens to assist with covering transaction fees. The migrated NFT collections are now available for trading on Platforms like TokenTrove and Market/search?q=revomon&chain=immutable">Sphere. In-Game trading functionality will be added in the future. Notably, migrated Booster Packs and Eggomon remain sealed forever as collector items, with future editions post-Novus launch being directly usable within the game.
Making Migrated Revomon Assets Work In-Game
The migration process, initiated in August, coincided with the release of game version 2.7, enabling users to sign in using Immutable Passport while preparing for a gas-free gaming experience during future on-chain activities. To continue using their NFTs in-game, players are required to transfer their assets to their Immutable Passport account, given that the game now operates on the Ethereum-based gaming chain.
By adding the Immutable zkEVM network to MetaMask or TrustWallet, users can seamlessly connect to their Revomon account using Passport. The email address linked to Passport and the game account should match. Subsequently, individuals can link the external wallet containing the NFTs to their Passport account and import the assets to their Passport wallet from the Inventory section. Instructions for asset import are detailed in the official Medium guide. However, the $REVO Token is expected to remain on the BNB Chain, with any potential changes undisclosed to date.
What Is Revomon?
Revomon is a Play-to-Earn monster collectible game developed for VR and Android mobile devices. Originally launched in beta in 2021, the metaverse offers a free-to-Play experience on SideQuest VR and the Play Store. Prior to the migration, players could capture Revomon monsters and mint them into trading card NFTs for trading within the game's Marketplace powered by the $REVO Governance token. Engage in PvP battles, complete quests, interact with NPCs, and more forms part of the gameplay experience. Following the Novus update, captured monsters will automatically convert into NFTs at no cost due to the upcoming auto-Minting feature introduction.
With the imminent arrival of the Novus update, which promises significant gameplay enhancements, the team is focusing on developing land Creation and distribution features within the metaverse.
What Is Revomon Novus?
Revomon Novus marks a major overhaul of the core game experience by introducing an open-world map based on land Ownership and a $REVO-powered Economy. Players will have the opportunity to offer services and receive Royalties as landlords within the MMORPG supported by a DAO structure.
Aside from the land-centric world, the update includes other notable changes such as replacing the in-game Currency with $REVO, introducing tradable consumables as loot from defeated monsters, completing quests, and participating in events. A total of 1200 lands divided into 8 types across 11 biomes are featured in the revamped version, each offering unique utility for players.
Revomon enthusiasts can still participate in the public land sale on the official website to secure land at the rate of 0.098 $ETH per NFT. Details about each land type are available in the v0 of the landpaper, although some information may have been updated recently. The Novus update is anticipated to launch in open beta on the Epic games Store in the first two quarters of 2025.
Additionally, the Development team is exploring the expansion of the Revomon IP into diverse mini-games like RevoRogue, scheduled for release post-landing launch, offering an innovative gameplay experience.
